Photos, drawings and sculptures of the street furniture of Birmingham

Today was the day, the day of creativity and observation, the day that set us astray from daily routine and guided us through the wonders of street furniture. We shared many ideas, thoughts and insights of what we think makes street furniture so great,  looking at benches, water fountains,  garbage bins and many more. We observed every detail within street furniture from the large to minute, illustrating the things we saw to the best of our ability around the town.

We began the day with drawing the street furniture around millennium point,  beginning with a bench which caught our attention the moment we walked out the millennium point building. later we noticed that there was a basic concept, a trend that each piece of street furniture we encountered around the area followed, a block-like, simple yet fascinating and modernised approach.

When then ventured out to see the fascinating street furniture around the Bullring, also looking into depth at a recycle bin and the decoration around the base of a tree in pigeon park which caught our eyes. We sat and drew out what we saw to the best of our ability, gaining knowledge on the structure of street furniture, how it blends in with the environment around it.
